Model SDB-V9 — Dog Crate for Two Dogs
The SDB-V9 is designed for households with two dogs and one car trunk. Instead of squeezing two dogs into a single shared space — or buying two separate crates that don’t fit — this model gives each dog their own dedicated section within one custom-built crate that fills your trunk perfectly.
Each side is sized independently. You tell us how wide each section needs to be based on your dogs’ sizes, and we build it accordingly. The result is a single, solid unit that makes the most of your trunk space without compromise.
Travelling with two dogs creates a specific set of challenges. If they share an open space, the more dominant dog may stress the other. If you use two separate crates, they rarely fit together properly and tend to shift during transit. The SDB-V9 solves both problems by building both sections into one rigid structure, with the option of an intermediate wooden wall between the dogs if needed.
The width of each section is chosen independently — so a large dog and a smaller companion can travel side by side in a crate that’s properly sized for each of them, not just averaged out.
Two Independent Sections
The SDB-V9 is divided into two separate compartments within one crate. Each section has its own door, its own security lock, and its own independently chosen width. Your dogs travel side by side without interfering with each other.
Optional Intermediate Wooden Wall
If your dogs need complete separation — because they don’t get along well, or because one tends to bother the other during travel — you can add an intermediate wooden wall between the two sections. This creates full visual and physical separation while keeping both dogs in the same crate.
Wood Filler and Bar Construction
The SDB-V9 features wood filler above and below with bars around the sides for maximum airflow. This combination gives each dog a sense of enclosure at floor and ceiling level while keeping the air circulating freely throughout the crate.
Security Locks
Each door has its own independent security lock. Neither door can be opened accidentally during transit.
Fully Anodized Aluminum Frame
The structural frame is made from fully anodized aluminum — lightweight, strong, corrosion-resistant, and hypoallergenic.
Custom Color Combinations
The powder-coated iron corners and fasteners are available in different color combinations on request.

Powder-coated iron — used for bar sections, corners, and fasteners. Rust-resistant and available in custom colors.

Can the two sections be different sizes?
Yes — that’s one of the key features of the SDB-V9. Each side is sized independently based on your dogs’ measurements. The total width is sized to your trunk, and the internal division is positioned wherever it makes sense for your specific dogs.
Do I need the intermediate wooden wall?
It depends on your dogs. If they travel well together and don’t disturb each other, the bar division between sections is sufficient. If they need to be kept completely separate, the optional wooden wall creates full visual and physical separation.
How do I measure for the SDB-V9?
Measure your trunk as usual — inner width, depth, and height. Then measure each dog separately: length, width when lying down, and standing height. Include both sets of dog measurements when ordering and we will calculate the ideal division point.
What if one of my dogs is much larger than the other?
That’s exactly what the SDB-V9 is designed for. The section widths are set independently, so the larger dog gets the space they need and the smaller dog isn’t cramped either.
Can I install and remove the crate myself?
Yes. Despite its size, the SDB-V9 is designed to be manageable by one person. The aluminum frame keeps the weight down, and no tools are required for installation or removal.
